Roller Conveyor (Rollgang)

A roller conveyor, or rollgang, is used for transporting various goods, including pallets, wooden or metal boxes, cartons, and other unit loads. The roller conveyors produced by our company can be classified as follows:

Unlike non-driven roller conveyors, which are operated manually, driven roller conveyors are powered by roller-bushing chains and V-belts. Driven roller conveyors are used when a constant speed is needed for transporting goods along a strictly horizontal plane or at an angle.

Structurally, all roller conveyors have a similar design consisting of supports, a frame on which the rollers are mounted, and drive elements (if the conveyor is driven). Standard roller supports allow for height adjustments of up to 100 mm, making installation easier without requiring additional construction work to level the conveyor.

For ease of operation, the conveyor can be equipped with wheels and protective guardrails to prevent possible falls of goods.

In addition to their primary function of transportation, roller conveyors can also serve as an auxiliary system for sorting products.

Roller conveyors are widely used in foundries, machine shops, woodworking facilities, the light and food industries, as well as in warehouses and loading docks. In addition to the presence or absence of a drive, roller conveyors vary in load capacity, dimensions, roller diameter and length, material of manufacture, and intended use.

If you want to increase the productivity of your warehouse, consider equipping it with driven roller conveyors. These conveyors can simplify mechanical operations and optimize overall warehouse efficiency, thereby boosting productivity. The use of roller conveyors reduces the need for manual labor, improves working conditions, and enhances workplace safety.

Roller Conveyor Design The central drive for the accumulation conveyor is a component that activates the sections of roller conveyors. Installing the drive under the conveyor line does not reduce passage width. With a central drive, up to three parallel roller conveyors can operate with a minimum gap of 70 mm, even when moving in opposite directions. The motor-reducer can be installed under the conveyor line.

Motor-Roller Motor-rollers are used to drive short conveyor lines and can be installed in conveyors positioned close to the floor. Round or poly-V belts ensure simultaneous movement of adjacent rollers. Driven and accumulation roller conveyors are equipped with special drive options. Motor-rollers can be installed independently of the nominal width and speed of the conveyor. A motor controller is used to manage the operation of up to four motor-rollers, which are utilized in driven turning elements, lifting sections, connecting sections, short roller lines, and inclined roller conveyors.

Lifting sections are used to provide passage through the conveyor line. Thanks to a pneumatic damper, the lifting section can be easily raised and smoothly lowered. A handle located on the side allows manual opening and closing of the section. Once lifted, the section remains vertical without locking. The lifting section is equipped with its own roller drive, and a sensor located beneath the section automatically shuts off the conveyor line when the lifting section is open.

Belt Deflection Device The belt deflection device is a mechanism at the input or deflection station connecting two conveyors. It consists of several rollers, with the number depending on the conveyor length. The rollers in the deflection device are equipped with two belts and positioned at a 90° angle to the conveyor on either side. Once the belt deflection device receives a command to divert the goods to another branch, the rollers of the deflection device rise, and the motor activates the rollers of the deflection mechanism.

High-Speed Roller Station for Container Deflection

  • Ability to identify and control each transported unit

  • Capability to divert goods at 30° or 45° from the main line

  • Smooth movement of goods due to the sinusoidal shape of the deflection station

  • High performance of up to 6,000 units per hour

  • Capability for product sorting – sorting into two channels

  • High wear resistance thanks to the use of a central belt drive

  • No stoppages due to the use of separate drives
